Yankees lose to Mariners 7-4

The Seattle Mariners faced the the New York Yankees yesterday at New Yankee Stadium with the Mariners winning 7 to 4. It was quite a game that followers with Mariners tickets will be talking about for days. In fact all sports are a great time so check out what sports tickets are out there.

Mariners pitcher Cliff Lee (2.45 ERA) got the win, while Phil Hughes (3.58 ERA) took the loss for the Yankees. Cliff Lee went 9 solid innings for the Mariners, allowed 8 hits, 2 home runs and 3 earned runs with one walk and 2 strikeouts. The Yankees’s starter Phil Hughes went 5.2 innings, allowed 10 hits, one home run and 6 earned runs with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Boone Logan (3.93), and Chan Ho Park (6.48) also pitched for the Yankees. With the win, Lee’s record goes to 7-3, while Hughes falls to 10-2.

In addition to the 7 runs, the Mariners managed 12 hits and committed one error. It wasn’t a huge day for anyone at the plate for the Mariners, as nobody managed more than 2 hits. The Yankees didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Yankees managed 4 runs, 8 hits and 2 errors.
