Wow! What a game you saw last night if you had Texas Rangers tickets, when Cliff Lee threw a no hitter for the WIN_TEAM!! The Yankees’s starter Andy Pettitte went 7 innings, allowed 5 hits, one home run and 2 earned runs with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Kerry Wood (2.25), Boone Logan (5.40), David Robertson (19.29), and Sergio Mitre (0.00) also pitched for the Yankees. With the win, Lee’s record goes to 3-0, while Pettitte is at 1-1.
In addition to the 8 runs, the Rangers scored 11 hits and committed no errors. Michael Young led the Rangers in hitting with 3 hits, followed by Josh Hamilton’s 2 hits. The Yankees didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Yankees managed no runs, 2 hits and no errors.
