The Yankee’s Alex Rodriguez and the rest of the team is off and they are tearing up the AL East. All the pre-season chatter was about the moves of the Boston Red Sox, but now that the season is here the Yankees are doing what they do best. Watch them take on the competition with your own set of Yankees baseball tickets and get a glimpse of how the team is going to end up. Lots of sports fans in the New York are are looking all over for New York Yankees tickets because they want to get out to the Stadium to see the action. CC Sabathia is throwing heat and has been a beast so far, so expect plenty of strikeouts too this year. And if the Yankees can trade for an elite pitcher well then all bets are off. Manager Joe Girardi has some very talented players to plug into the lineup, so look for the Yankees to score plenty of runs this year. Watch the Yanks play their own brand of baseball at Yankee Stadium this summer because its going to be another good year of baseball. Yanks GM Brian Cashman and the Steinbrenner brothers brought in red-hot reliever Rafael Soriano as a bridge to closer Mariano Rivera, so the opposition will have to get to the Yankees pitching early if they want to win.

No shortage of good times at Yankee Stadium this season so do your best to get out there. Everyone is expecting big things from slugger Alex Rodriguez as the Yanks take on the rest of the American League, especially the Eastern division. There are some talented teams in the American League, and they will not be giving the Yankees any breaks. Be there to cheer on the team with some great tickets. If you want front-row or legends seats at Yankee Stadium, or if you want NY Yankees Bleacher seats, there are great places to buy tickets online. I usually start at Ticket Master, Ticket Liquidator or Stub Hub when looking at the best prices for tickets. Either way do your homework because you can see some really good games if you look hard.

Yankees take close one from Red Sox

Monday, September 27th, 2010

Its almost time October baseball and all the action that comes with the most exciting time in all of sports. The quest for the World Series is like nothing else, when each and every pitch has incredible ramifications. There are some really good teams in the playoffs this year, with the past two World Series winners the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies in the post-season once again. Each year MLB playoff tickets get more and more popular, but this year the action is out of control! The Yankees and Phillies have two of the most dedicated fans in the sporting world, and with both fans eager to see their team take the first World Series of the new decade. Baseball tickets are hot sellers throughout the summer, but the intensity for demand really heats up when the post-season gets here. Careers are made or destroyed in October baseball, and who knows what timeless moments will happen during the 2010 playoffs? Get your tickets ready soon so you can see the historic moments live and in person. So, with the MLB playoffs ready to start on, Wednesday, October 6, here’s a look ahead at the 2010 playoff teams.

American League playoff outlook

New York Yankees

It should come as no surprise that the New York Yankees are again in the playoffs, but while last year they entered the post-season looking almost invincible, this year there are a few chinks in their armor. But that hasn’t really affected sales of Yankees playoff tickets at all! Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada are all a year older, and all have struggled at times throughout the season. But the “core four” aren’t nearly the issue as the Yankees starting rotation is. Staff ace CC Sabathia won 20 games and has been electric all, but he is just one man. At some point, Pettitte, AJ Burnett, Javier Vazquez, Phil Hughes, or Joba Chamberlain will need to win a game. They definitely have the talents to get back to selling Yankees World Series tickets, but we’ll see they look after the NLCS (schedule) plays out. And lets not forget about the rest of the American League playoff picture.

Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays and the Yankees have been swapping the AL East lead, and as of Monday, September 27 the Rays lead the Yankees by half a game. While home field advantage would be nice, Rays playoff tickets are going to be selling hot either way. They Rays arguably have the strongest starting rotation in the American League, and while the offense has been up and down at time,s they have some great players that have gotten it done in the past. Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena are electric hitters eager to win the World Series. A number of Rays players are likely to be free agents this year, so this is the season for this group of Rays to make a run. The Rays don’t sell many regular season tickets, but Rays playoff tickets are a different story. All the Rays fans come out for the post-season, and should they end up selling ALCS tickets they are then the fans will really turn out. Manager Joe Maddon has been great with his young staff for years now, and he knows what it takes to get his players to perform. The Rays are causing some major noise in the American League, and at gunpoint they are this writers pick to represent the AL in the Fall Classic.

Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins have won the AL Central race once again, and fans are excited! Hopes are high in Minneapolis, and Twins playoff tickets will not be along very long. That is not new for fans of the Twins, but what is new is the stadium. Now the Twins enter with a potent lineup and some veteran pitching. The Twins have been a perennial playoff team, however they usually get bounced from the post-season pretty early. But Manager Ron Gardenhire is looking to change that, and with perhaps the best Twins roster in a ages, the time is now. They’ll be looking for World Series baseball ticket for sure should the Twins make it all the way, and that is a definitely possibility. The New York Yankees won the World Series after opening their new stadium. Now the spotlight is on the Twins to do the same. There is some question about how October baseball outside in Minnesota will go over, but our guess is that Twins playoff tickets will still be very hot sellers.

Texas Rangers

And over in the AL West, the Texas Rangers have taken the division from the LA Angels for the first time in ages. While its tough for the Angels, its good to see some new blood in the playoffs. They can’t get enough sports in Texas, and while Texas Rangers playoff tickets are definitely going to be hot sellers. Josh Hamilton has been a great hitter for years now, and paid him with Vlad Guerrero and the Rangers are a tough out. After coming over from the Mariners, Cliff Lee has been the ace of the Rangers staff, and looks to be just as good as he was with Philadelphia last year. They cannot wait to see how the Rangers respond to being the post-season for the first time in over a decade, and Rangers Ballpark at Arlington is going to be rocking for sure this October. Sure they are going to buy a ton of Dallas Cowboys football tickets for their NFL fix, but playoff baseball is like nothing else. Those Rangers playoff tickets are going to be going really fast, so get out there and cheer on your team today!

National League playoff outlook

Aiming to get back to the World Series for the third year in a row, Philadelphia Phillies playoff tickets are the hottest thing in Philly right now. Should the Phils get back to the Fall Classic, they would become the first team since WWII to get to the World Series three years in a row. Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins and the rest of the Phillies have been here before and know what it takes to win in October. The Phillies also arguably the best post-season starting rotation not just in the NL, but in MLB as a whole. I mean Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels? That is incredible! They have the hitting and the pitching, and Charlie Manuel has what it takes to win playoff games. Should they go ahead and sell those NLCS tickets the Phils will be in great shape. The Phillies are going to be a really good team this post-season, and with home field advantage throughout, the Phillies should be great for fans. They are on pace to finish five whole games against the rest of the NL playoff spots, so clearly the Phillies would be the favorite to win the whole thing.

Philadelphia Phillies

But the Philadelphia Phillies aren’t the only team with good players. The National League saw some big movements this season, as two teams came out of nowhere to make the post-season. This is the first time you can get Reds playoff tickets in a long time, so make sure you take advantage of that. The Cincinnati Reds have been great all year led by MVP candidate Joey Votto. Staff ace Johnny Cueto is among the best in the NL, and Bronson Arroyo has been in pressure situation as well. With Votto and a lineup filled out by the likes of Scott Rolen, Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips, opposing pitchers will have a hard time getting through the lineup. Those players give the Reds a great shot at selling cheap World Series tickets this year. Dusty Baker has been in baseball for ages, and he knows what you have to do win games in playoffs. You can bet that Reds playoffs tickets are going to be hot sellers, and the Great American Ballpark is going to be full of rowdy Reds fans. Be there for all the action, and get those MLB playoff tickets as fast as you can!

San Diego Padres

The other big surprise in the National League is the emergence of the San Diego Padres as the best ream in the NL West. Led by staff ace Matt Latos and heavy hitter Adrian Gonzales, the Padres are ready to aim for the World Series. At the beginning of the year nobody gave them a chance, but lo and behold Padres playoff tickets are on sale anyway. PETCO Park is going to be THE place to be in October, don’t you want to be there and watch the Pad Squad? This is as great as it gets for baseball fans, and this team is eager to win some playoff games. You know that San Diego would explode if fans got to see the Padres in the World Series, but the team has to win some games before that happens. The Padres are going to move their fair share of NLDS tickets that for sure, but it would be even more so if they move on to the National League Championship Series.

San Francisco Giants

Laying claim to one of the most formidable rotations in the big leagues, Giants playoff tickets are going to be very hot this year. Tim Lincecum might be the best pitcher throwing right now, and fans are eager to see how he responds to playoff baseball. With Kung-Fu Panda Pablo Sandoval hitting the ball as well as he can, the Giants are going to be tough to beat. And Aubrey Huff has been stellar since coming to the National League, and he could end up being the leader that takes the Giants to the playoffs. If you can watch a baseball playoff game at AT&T Park you are in for a something special. They’ll have their hands full in the NLDS, but they have good players ready for action.

Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves are hoping to get back to the playoffs, but after looking great all year they faltered a but down the stretch. Entering the last games of the year, Braves playoff tickets are being sold, as fans will get their money back if the team doesn’t make the cut. Fans were hoping they’d be able to send of Bobby Cox with some World Series ticket prices, and that hope is still alive. The Braves have some good hitters and pitchers who have experience playing when it matters. With Tim Hudson and Derek Lowe eager for another chance to win in October, they are going to have to lay it all on the line. You can see some great baseball in Atlanta right now, and the race to the finish is going to be crazy. You do not want to miss out on all the fun happening at Turner Field, so make sure you check out all the action. Be there for all the baseball action you can handle and get those Braves tickets ASAP.

Yes the American League has some good teams ready for battle, all aiming to get to the World Series. You can bet October baseball is going to be crazy, so do your best to get out there. MLB playoff tickets are waiting for fans like you, and if you are lucky enough to have a team in the playoffs you are going to see a good time. Get those post-season baseball tickets right away and watch all the action in person!
